Come and join us for the first year of our very own Sussex International Short Film Competition 2023.

We have a line up of some astounding shorts from all around the world to share with you. Beginning with our semi-finalists, the day will progress to screen our finalist competitors, and in the evening we’ll be joined by our panel of judges, Academy Award winning editor Chris Dickens, composer and producer Simon Woodgate, and our festival directors Gareth Jones and Emily Isaacs for a red carpet Award Ceremony, where the winning competitors will be awarded a statuette, certificate and the winning grand prize of £500.

The day is designed to be a relaxed opportunity to watch films and network alongside, with plenty of time to nip out for something to eat with new-found friends and chat film. If you can’t make the whole day, pop in for a bit and come back later!

Tickets for each section of the day are only £3:50, and if you buy two you get the third free. We do though expect each section to be busy so do book early.

There will be many opportunities to mingle in a large variety of local pubs and eateries throughout the day,  so do come along and celebrate the best of Sussex-made and Sussex-sourced films!
